Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) is an autonomous body of the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training, Government of Pakistan. Federal Board is among the most significant educational boards in Pakistan. It holds the authority to regulate, organize, develop and control secondary and intermediate education while conducting annual examinations. Many institutions are affiliated with the board. The territory of the Islamabad capital comes under the jurisdiction of the Federal Board. In the first half of every year, the board conducts examinations and announces results in July as most usually. FBISE is considered as an autonomous body of Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training, Government of Pakistan. The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education has a large list of responsibilities which includes
curriculum formation,
design the examination system,
appointment of examiners and supervisory staff to conduct examinations for Matric and Inter students and publication of timely results.
All government, private schools and colleges present in mentioned areas come under the jurisdiction of FBISE. The FBISE is responsible for conducting exams for FBISE SSC part 1 & 2, and FBISE HSSC part 1 & 2 examinations and announces their results in a few months after they are done with conducting exams.
