Bise Sahiwal Board Results 2026

BISE Sahiwal, formally the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Sahiwal, handles matric and intermediate exams across its area, everything from setting academic standards to keeping students and parents in the loop through official channels. It's a smaller board than most, but it runs the same four-result cycle every other Punjab board does.

How the 10th Class Result Actually Broke Down

The board put out the 10th class result at 10:00 AM on 6th August 2026. Out of 85,343 registered students, 84,159 actually sat the exam, and 54,788 of them passed, working out to 65.10% overall. Science Group students made up the bulk of that number, 47,596 passing out of 70,320, a 67.68% rate, and regular students in that group did considerably better than private candidates, 75.25% compared to just 50.68%. Girls came out ahead of boys across the board too, 74.67% versus 60.99% in Science, and a similar gap showed up in the General Group. Anyone still waiting on their result card past 21st August should just contact the board's examination branch directly rather than keep waiting.

The Youngest Board on Punjab's List

Something worth knowing about BISE Sahiwal, it's barely over a decade old, set up in 2012, which makes it genuinely one of the newest boards in Punjab compared to older ones like Lahore or Multan that have been around for generations. Its jurisdiction stays fairly compact too, just Sahiwal, Okara, and Pakpattan, so on result day the server traffic here tends to be a lot more manageable than what boards handling several times the candidates deal with.

Why This Year's New Chairperson Actually Matters

Leadership at Sahiwal changed hands going into this results season. Faisal Ijaz took over as Chairperson on 1st July 2026, coming from a role as Controller of Examinations at the Information Technology University in Lahore, and before that, Additional Controller of Examinations at University of Gujrat. This wasn't a one-off appointment either, all nine Punjab boards got new chairpersons around the same time, closing out nearly two years where these seats sat without permanent heads. What's notable about Faisal Ijaz specifically is that his background is actually in running exams, not general academia, which lines up closely with what chairing a board like this actually involves day to day. These appointments run on an 18-month deputation through December 2027, and the province has framed the whole reshuffle as a push for more transparent exam administration.

About the Passing Marks

This year's 10th class result still went by the existing 33% per-subject requirement, nothing's changed there yet. The new 40% threshold and updated grading scale are rolling out gradually, SSC Part I gets it starting this year's First Annual Examination, but SSC Part II won't switch over until the First Annual Examination in 2027. HSSC level follows the same gradual rollout as it moves forward too.

Checking Any of the Four Results

  • Online: Head to BISE Sahiwal's official website, go to Results, pick your class, and put in your roll number
  • By name: Same portal, works if you've lost your roll number slip
  • By SMS: Text your roll number to 800292, handy backup when the site's crawling under traffic
  • By gazette: A PDF version usually goes up within a few hours of the announcement, sorted by district and institution

What Each Result Is Actually Used For

SSC Part 1 and HSSC Part 1 are more like checkpoints along the way than anything colleges actually look at, they get folded into the following year's Part 2 results, and it's those Part 2 numbers that colleges and universities actually check. SSC Part 2, already out now, is what gets used for intermediate admissions, while HSSC Part 2 ends up being the number that actually counts toward university and professional degree eligibility.
