Part 2 results at both Matric and Intermediate level come out before Part 1 does. That's not random, it's how most Punjab boards do it since second-year papers usually finish getting compiled faster.
This Year's 10th Class Result
BISE Bahawalpur put the 10th class result out at 10:00 AM on 6th August 2026. 96,245 students showed up to sit the exam out of 97,640 who'd applied, and 63,012 passed, landing the overall rate at 65.47%. Science group students made up most of the pool, 56,567 passing out of 85,488, a 66.17% pass rate. Regular Science students clearly outdid private candidates here, 74.97% against just 42.80%, and girls in Science did especially well, 75.17%. Regular students will get their result cards through their school, private candidates should expect theirs by post at whatever address they gave on their admission form.
What This Board Actually Covers
Three districts fall under BISE Bahawalpur, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, and Rahim Yar Khan, and between Matric and Intermediate combined, it's handling well over a lakh students every year. It also runs a Diploma in Physical Education alongside the usual SSC and HSSC programs, something not every Punjab board bothers offering.
Why the New Leadership Actually Matters This Time
This year's results are the first to go out under new leadership at Bahawalpur. Muhammad Ishtiaq Ahmed Gondal, who was Director of IT at University of Sargodha before this, took over as Chairman on 1st July 2026. It wasn't just him either, all nine Punjab boards got new chairpersons around the same time, the first time that's happened in nearly two years after these seats had just been filled on an interim basis. The province is calling this whole reshuffle, appointments running 18 months through December 2027, a move toward more accountable exam administration. Given Bahawalpur went roughly two years without a permanent chairperson, this year's results are really the first full cycle done under someone actually in the seat long-term.
How Last Year Compared
Back in 2025, 94,235 students appeared out of 95,275 registered for SSC Part 2, and 71,892 passed, a 75.49% rate. Regular students beat private candidates by a wide margin, 79.57% versus 57.52%. The Part 1 picture that year was rougher, only 47,574 passed out of 110,437 who appeared, just 43.08% overall, though girls still came out well ahead of boys, 51.78% to 34.44%. That gap between how first-year and second-year students perform shows up on basically every Punjab board, mostly because Part 2 students have already gone through one full board exam by the time they're sitting their second.
A Note on Passing Marks
This year's 10th class result still went by the old 33% per-subject rule, not the newer 40% threshold some places have wrongly assumed applies already. That's rolling out in stages, SSC Part I switches over starting this year's First Annual Exam, but Part II doesn't move to the new 40% system and grading scale until the First Annual Examination in 2027.
What This Year's 9th Graders Are Up Against
Physics and Chemistry have always been the subjects that drag down 9th class averages the most at Bahawalpur. With the applicant pool expected to keep growing the way it has been, how this year's 9th class percentage turns out in September really depends on how solid this batch was in those two subjects specifically.
