A day ahead of the general result, BISE Rawalpindi has done what boards across Punjab typically do, put names to the top scores first. The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Rawalpindi officially announced its SSC 1st Annual Examination 2026 position holders on 5th August 2026, and this year's list includes a genuinely tight race at the top, with barely a handful of marks separating first and third place.
The Overall Top Three
Topping the entire board, Muhammad Munan Ehtisham secured first position with 1191 out of 1200 marks, studying at Al-Aamir Foundation Public Secondary School for Boys in Doultala, Gujar Khan. The Controller of Examinations and other senior board officials jointly issued the announcement alongside the Chairman.
Awards Ceremony Details
The board has scheduled a formal award distribution ceremony for Thursday, 6th August 2026, to be held at the auditorium of Fatima Jinnah Women University. Position holders and their parents are being invited to attend, where students will be formally honored and presented with their awards.
Has the Result Come Out Yet?
No, not yet. 6th August is still the date on the table right now. Around 127,521 students signed up this cycle, pretty close to 2024's number, when 120,014 actually showed up for the exam. One thing worth knowing: position holders usually get announced the evening before the main result, so if you're curious about the toppers, check the board's page the night before too.

What Comes Next
Once the result's out, colleges in Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, and Jhelum start opening admissions pretty fast, especially the popular ones in Rawalpindi city, which fill up quick.
Pre-Medical: only really makes sense if your Bio and Chem marks were solid, not just your overall score. Leads to MBBS, BDS, that kind of thing. Seats are competitive.
Pre-Engineering: depends heavily on Math and Physics. Be honest with yourself about how strong you actually are in these before picking this just because it sounds impressive.
ICS: good middle ground if your marks are decent across the board and you want a solid career path without the insane competition of medical or engineering seats. Mixes Computer Science with Math or Stats.
Commerce: for anyone leaning toward business, accounts, finance. Admission's usually less of a fight here, and it opens up B.Com, BBA, that sort of thing.
Arts: Civics, History, Psychology fall here. Works well if you're more of a reader/writer than a numbers person. Can lead into law, journalism, public admin.
Common Issues on Result Day
Site won't load: happens every year, just too much traffic hitting it at once. Give it 20-30 minutes instead of refreshing over and over.
Wrong roll number: double check against your admit card. One digit off and you'll get nothing.
Loading forever: switch off Wi-Fi and try mobile data, or just wait till it's less busy, like really early morning.
Server busy message: not your problem, it's just overloaded. SMS to 800296 usually still works even when the site's down.
No SMS reply: make sure you only typed the roll number, no spaces or extra letters. If nothing comes back in a few minutes, just try again, sometimes the gateway itself lags during peak times.
