University of FATA History

It began its operational activities in the year 2016 and is comparatively new as compare to other well established universities present in the country. The Caretaker Prime Minister, Mir Hazar Khan Khoso, approved the university in year 2013. Mohammad Tahir Shah, former professor at Peshawar University directed about the commencement of classes in 2016.

FATA University Campuses

Currently, University of FATA is located within the premises of the Government Degree College Dara Adam Khel. The construction of new campus at Akhorwal will be done on the area of 58.25 acres. In addition to it, sub-campuses will be also opened at Parachinar, Miran Shah, and Khar.
