BISE DG Khan Matric Result 2026

DG Khan's 10th class result landed on 6th August 2026. 9th class students still have a bit of a wait, that one's locked in for 2nd September. The board itself, officially Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Dera Ghazi Khan, has been running SSC exams since it was set up back in January 1989, covering four districts, DG Khan, Muzaffargarh, Layyah, and Rajanpur.

Who's Running the Board This Cycle

Prof. Dr. Abdul Rauf stepped in as chairperson on 1st July 2026, coming over from a teaching post at Islamia University of Bahawalpur. He wasn't the only new face either, this was one of nine appointments the Punjab government made at once across every education board in the province, finally putting permanent heads back in place after almost two years of these seats sitting filled on an interim basis.

What Last Year Looked Like

Going back to 2025 gives this year's batch something to measure against. 91,180 students sat the exam, and the board ended up with an 81.35% pass rate, a solid year, by most comparisons. Hania Mahmood from DPS Girls School in Layyah topped the board outright with 1,187 marks. Right behind her was Insha Ahmad, also from a Layyah school, just one mark off at 1,186. Third place actually went to four students tied at 1,184, scattered across DG Khan, Rajanpur, and Muzaffargarh. Worth noting, the top two both came out of Layyah, not DG Khan city itself. That's happened more than once lately, not really a one-off.

Passing Marks

Depending on which registration cycle a student falls under, the minimum to pass sits anywhere between 33% and 40%, since Punjab's boards are still mid-transition to the new grading system. Once that's fully in place, the scale reads A++ for 95-100%, A+ for 90-94%, A for 85-89%, B++ for 80-84%, and so on down the line. Honestly, if you're not sure which version applies to you, just ask your school directly rather than guessing.

Checking Your Result

  • Online: head to www.bisedgkhan.edu.pk, pick your class, punch in your roll number
  • By SMS: text your roll number to 800295
  • By name: lost your roll number slip? there's a name search option too
  • By gazette: a PDF version goes up shortly after each result drops

The Geography Here Actually Matters

DG Khan's jurisdiction isn't small, and it's not uniform either. You've got proper urban centers alongside tehsils in Rajanpur and pockets of Muzaffargarh that are pretty remote. For students out in those areas, SMS and the result cards their schools hand out end up mattering more than the website ever does, mostly because internet access just isn't something you can count on everywhere across the division.

What Happens Next

For 9th class kids, think of September's result as more of a checkpoint than anything final, Part-I marks get folded into Part-II next year to make up the full matric percentage, and colleges aren't looking at Part-I by itself. 10th class is a different story though, that result is already out, and it's what actually gets you into intermediate programs across colleges in all four districts. Given how fast the good programs fill up, might as well get your original result card, CNIC or B-Form, and a few photos together now instead of scrambling later.
