Going back to 2025 gives this year's batch something to measure against. 91,180 students sat the exam, and the board ended up with an 81.35% pass rate, a solid year, by most comparisons. Hania Mahmood from DPS Girls School in Layyah topped the board outright with 1,187 marks. Right behind her was Insha Ahmad, also from a Layyah school, just one mark off at 1,186. Third place actually went to four students tied at 1,184, scattered across DG Khan, Rajanpur, and Muzaffargarh. Worth noting, the top two both came out of Layyah, not DG Khan city itself. That's happened more than once lately, not really a one-off.

For 9th class kids, think of September's result as more of a checkpoint than anything final, Part-I marks get folded into Part-II next year to make up the full matric percentage, and colleges aren't looking at Part-I by itself. 10th class is a different story though, that result is already out, and it's what actually gets you into intermediate programs across colleges in all four districts.
