When BISE Peshawar board got splited in 1990, the BISE Abbottabad was established by the North West Frontier Province Board of Secondary and Intermediate Education Act 1990. The board of Intermediate & Secondary Education was initially operating from its own building on Murree Road, Abbottabad. Due to increase in work load in Matric section, the conduct section was divided into two separate divisions. Now Conduct 1 deals with Matric and conduct 2 deals with intermediate.
